Hello Westview Football Families!

I sincerely hope the summer and moratorium week are treating you well!

IMPORTANT--Fall Football practice starts Monday (8/6-8/10, Five Oaks MS, 3-4:30 pm).

The August calendar has been updated at westviewfootballpride.com (parent section, calendar button), so please check it as soon as possible to work out any potential conflicts. I understand that some players and families may have conflicts as fall sports don't officially start (according to the Beaverton School District calendar) until August 20th, but please be forewarned for future years that football pre-season practice will always begin following moratorium week. Please note the following important events, dates & times:


August 6th - Fall football preseason practice begins
August 11th - Adopt-a-Road cleanup (8-11 am, Seniors and Freshman @ Somerset Christian Church, Juniors and Sophmores @ 7-11)
August 16th - Fall sports registration night (6-8 pm, Westview HS main entrance); Football parent meeting (7 pm, location - TBA)
August 18th - 4th Annual Casino Night Football Fundraiser (4:30-11 pm, Laurel Parc @ Bethany)
August 20th - Fall sports officially begin (double daily practices for football)


Next week is our Westview Youth Football camp week and we will be asking a group of our upper classmen to assist with the Punt, Pass & Kick event (Monday, Five Oaks MS, 6 pm) and serve as camp counselors (T-F, Five Oaks MS, 5-8 pm). This is a great opportunity to connect with the youth football players and practice servitude towards our community. Please know that if your son is helping with the camp, it will be a long, but beneficial week! We still have summer workouts in the morning from 9-11:15 am, as well.


Our first game is August 31st, so we only have 4 weeks to get the boys ready!!! If you have any questions regarding the calendar, or Westview Football, do not hesitate to contact me. Go CATS!
