Jesuit week...let's go get it!

Gentlemen...

We have an incredible opportunity ahead of us this week. It is the first week of Metro League play and Jesuit is coming to Westview! I hope you all had a great weekend and got some good rest; it's time to go to work. Remember, we are late this week (3:55 p.m. start time). However, we will meet tomorrow (Monday) @ 3:00 p.m. in Coach K's room to start the week with a team activity.

If you believe in each other, prepare with intensity and purpose, and play to win, we will get it done this Friday! If you watched any college football this weekend, you saw some incredible upsets. How does this happen? It happens because of the power of belief and team. On any given Friday night, anything can happen. Do you believe? See you tomorrow...

Let's get ready for David Douglas!

Grant proved to be a very tough opponent this past week. While the Varsity prevailed Friday night, both the Freshman and the JV had a tough time against strong Grant teams. We all had an opportunity to learn and grow, both as players, and more important, as a team. Let's get ready for a great week of practice in preparation for our first road game of the year (Varsity) against the Scots of David Douglas. Practice is late again this week for both JV and Varsity. JV will start practice on the field tomorrow (Monday) @ 3:15 p.m. and follow the Varsity schedule for Tuesday and Wednesday. Varsity will start @ 3:55 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and @ 2:45 p.m. on Thursday. Freshman will continue to practice @ 3:00 p.m.

For tomorrow (Monday), Varsity players meet in Coach K's room, dressed in practice pants and ready to watch film. We will look at our play from Friday night and spend some practice time Monday working to improve our weaknesses. This will be David Douglas' first home game and I am confident the Scots will play with a ton of energy and determination in front of their home crowd. Keep last week's practice effort in mind to serve as motivation as we make this week's preparation the best we have had so far. Let's go get it!
